Tech Lead
Eggnut is a fully remote diverse team of 18 collaborators based in 5 countries. Our first title, narrative adventure Backbone, was just released on PC after almost five years of development.

We are looking for a tech lead to be a beacon of light in the darkness of mediocre pipelines and development tools. We strive to craft meaningful experiences in shorter timelines and with no crunch, and we're looking for a proficient technical lead to bring your experience and knowledge and help us get there. If we're lucky to work with you, then we're in for a long run - our studio's most cherished asset is our people.

As a technical lead you will:
  • Help architect and develop technical solutions for features and systems
  • Improve our work processes, pipelines and upgrade in-house toolset
  • Bring your experience to lead and mentor the 4-people engineering team
  • Review technical designs and code
  • Resolve the most complex and puzzling technical issues that are bound to happen during game development
  • Work with other team leads to ensure the project and the studio are on track

We're looking for someone with experience in:

  • UE4 and C++
  • Best practices with source control, asset rules and project structure
  • Assessing, scoping and creating development tools
  • Build/deployment automation and unit testing
  • Being a lead in a team of 5-20 people or more
  • Working collaboratively on a common codebase with many contributors
  • Review processes, delivering and acting on review feedback for code, design and documentation
  • Good workflows and well-architected software
  • Researching and learning new industry solutions and tools
  • Working in a remote work environment using tools like Discord, JIRA, Clickup

This position suggests fully remote work, full-time 35-40h per week, largely to your preferred schedule that should in part intersect with our team members based in CET timezone. Salary to be discussed after the initial assessment, depending on your requirements and experience.
